THE BENEFIT: the time required to identify and process issues decreases, replacing chaos, self-sabotage, or stagnation. The method delivers specific solutions and fosters a state of sovereignty and scalability.
Whether applied to personal life or a business, the result is a shift from survival to control, clarity, and predictable growth.
IDENTITY IS A SYSTEM THAT OPERATES BASED ON AN ALGORITHM.
IT RUNS IN THE BACKGROUND AND DICTATES AUTOMATIC BEHAVIORS AND REACTIONS, AS WELL AS HOW RESOURCES, TIME, AND ENERGY ARE MANAGED.
Business Identity: structure, processes, systems, people, strategy, product or service, vision, resources, organizational culture.
Identity of a Person: self-perception and self-esteem, personal history, past experiences and memories, beliefs, patterns, emotions, values, personality, etc.
HOW AND WHY WAS THE S.I.G.N.U.M. METHOD™ CREATED?
It was created based on my life experience and how I felt for years on end. It was created as a solution... something I would have needed during my most difficult moments. I could have saved so much if only I had had clarity and direction.
The S.I.G.N.U.M. Method™ operates on the premise: "Cut the noise and find your signal" (*signum* is Latin for "signal"). I define "noise" as anything that does not represent you, yields no results, slows you down or blocks your path. Imagine standing still, surrounded by a black cloud (the noise). You want to reach your destination, but you cannot see and do not know which way to go.
In that moment, you must take action to cut through the black cloud and move forward. However, without knowing your foundation (your identity) you might walk in circles, believing you are progressing when, in fact, you are not. This method acts as a signal you can follow, saving you the time and energy otherwise spent trying to escape that black cloud.
THE 6 PILLARS OF THE METHOD:
S ⟹ Self Observation
THE INDIVIDUAL: self-analysis becomes radical when someone seeks to understand why they reached a certain point and to truly know themselves. It requires the courage to look within with radical honesty to identify the "noise" (the behavioral loops, patterns, actions, and emotional impulses) that sabotage decision-making. This is the moment an individual becomes aware of who they are, viewing both their strengths and their flaws without judgment. They are simply an observer.
THE BUSINESS: the same observation applies to a business: scanning market dynamics, identifying hidden operational blind spots, and finding the root cause of the problem within the system. It requires stepping back from the everyday pressure to look at how the company really runs, without panic or judgment.
I ⟹ Identity Structure
THE INDIVIDUAL: identity is who a person is and how they present themselves to the world. Who people think they are and who they actually are can be two completely different things. Identity encompasses everything: from personal history and personality to the way they dress and behave. Most of the time, identity is merely a collection of experiences and external expectations (ideas of how things "ought" to be). Unless someone fully maps out their identity, distinguishing what is truly theirs from what isn't, and identifying where they are hiding or creating illusions, they won't be able to reach their goals, because their foundation is made of paper. Otherwise, they will just go around in circles and waste more time than they would like.
THE BUSINESS: it works the same way here. A business has its own identity, rooted in who it is and what it aspires to become. If it operates under an illusion or engages in self-sabotage, it needs to understand why, for instance, it lacks customers or sales. There is no point in investing in the facade if the interior is broken. It is futile to devise financial strategies if there is a leak draining money that goes completely unnoticed.
G ⟹ Generative Patterns
THE INDIVIDUAL: here we have behavioral patterns that emerge in various contexts, all triggered by "something." That "something" is the root of the reaction and it is where it originated and from where it spreads (for better or worse), leading to specific outcomes: procrastinating on decisions, juggling ten tasks at once, overextending oneself, and so on. It represents a massive drain on vital energy that could otherwise be redirected toward ideas, creativity, problem-solving, etc. In short, these are the ingrained programs and automatic behaviors repeated daily, often without individuals realizing they are running on autopilot.
THE BUSINESS: it’s the exact same story here: the business keeps running, yet the numbers don't grow. It remains stuck with outdated, useless processes, unsuitable partners, or resource-draining products (consuming money and time without generating real profit) simply because "that’s how it’s always been done".
N ⟹ Nervous System Regulation
THE INDIVIDUAL: the nervous system is the network through which impulses travel. If, for instance, someone is in "survival mode," the body automatically shuts down higher-level functions and consumes all its energy to survive. It acts as an emergency brake, alerting them when something is wrong. However, if the nervous system is programmed by "G" (generative patterns) then the familiar equates to safety, even if that familiar element is destructive. Because of this dissonance, self-sabotage becomes inevitable.
THE BUSINESS: a business has a mechanism (a nervous system, so to speak) through which it processes crises, uncertainty, and market pressure. If it is in "survival mode," it will sabotage any healthy structure that gets implemented. Chaos and crises can become the business's new normal.
U ⟹ Unlocking the Identity
THE INDIVIDUAL: Now that the blinders have been removed, attention turns to the adaptive roles people either adopt themselves or have assigned to them by others. This is that generalized image (often unreal or born of fear) that gets projected. Individuals can consciously choose which roles serve them and which do not. These roles are merely defense mechanisms, and they do not arise by chance. It is like a uniform put on during times of crisis (perfectionism, the rescuer, the one who avoids causing trouble, etc.). Even though these roles helped someone survive, wearing this costume for years consumes a tremendous amount of energy just to maintain a false facade. Ultimately, it means playing a character rather than being the protagonist of one's own life.
THE BUSINESS: at the start of a business, amidst a crisis or period of change, adaptive roles emerge spontaneously. Individuals or leaders take on responsibilities that do not suit them simply to plug gaps in a flawed system. For instance, a founder might resort to micromanagement due to a lack of trust, or an employee might accept a role that is a poor fit. Over time, this becomes a dysfunctional norm. The company stalls because people are no longer working based on their actual competencies, leading to bottlenecks, conflict, and inefficiency.
M ⟹ Mastery of Self
THE INDIVIDUAL: it is the moment when an individual has the courage to step into the sovereignty of their own identity. When they attain the capacity to govern their own inner system, they no longer react to a crisis or problem, instead, they become the creator of their reality. They lead themselves with clarity, authority, and courage.
THE BUSINESS: once the business system becomes organized, functional, and efficient, the only remaining step is scaling. This is the stage where the entire execution plan (grounded in the company's actual needs and vision) is implemented. Furthermore, when a crisis, problem, or challenging situation arises, the business knows exactly what to do, no longer operating based on the old system or the old identity.
THE CONCLUSION
When you put an end to the method, the last "M" (S.I.G.N.U.M.), it is the moment when you roll up your sleeves and take control of what is happening. No more automatic reactions!
No more running in circles!
No more solutions without tangible results!
Whether you want to reinvent who you are, or you are setting up the business, the destination is the same. The alignment between who you are and what you build in the world. It is the moment when you take control of the system, and growth becomes the new operating algorithm.
Thank you!
With respect,
